I loved your house! And I can just imagine how happy Fred would be to have guests…. And I was thinking the other day of how people would just ‘drop in’ - something we so rarely do now. And I think the reason that we catch up so much at cafes is that it is ‘easier’ than being home - great points Jane about not being perfectionist.
It is a lost practice, isn’t it? If we do happen to drop in it comes with profuse apologies even if a text buffered the knock. Not wrong, but the difference makes us pause. I love that you loved our farm house growing up 🥰.
Beautiful! I especially love, "Focus on the being rather than the doing." It ties in so well with what I've been learning about abiding in Christ, focusing on staying connected to the vine, and not on how much fruit I'm bearing. When I abide in Christ, he, the vine, brings forth the fruit.
I need rest so I can soar when i need to. Love this piece, thank you.

Thank you Jane for the reminder of what's important!
You’re welcome Paul! I was reminding myself as well 🙂
Love this! And what a treat to see a group of eagles at once - very cool!!
They are truly majestic!
I love this so much. I’ve been practicing this slowing down to take notice thing lately. It’s so foreign to my system, but such a balm to my soul.
Oh yes. To both - I need the reminder to pause and notice, regularly. And agreed - it is soul soothing 🙌
Yes!

Love this, Lisa. And love John 15. I need this reminder to focus on the vine and not the fruit, often. Thank you!
So good: “so I can soar when I need to”.
Thankful too that He is always and forever our rest and our wind.
