Plain Jane (but really delicious) Party Cheese Ball
A last minute appe for you
Heading out to a holiday function and need something to take along? This recipe has common ingredients and can often be made on the spot.
Simply pair it with your favorite crunchy cracker and raw veggies.
And watch it disappear in minutes.
It reminded me of my Dad when I whipped it up. You knew he was eating one of his favorite foods when you heard,
“That tastes like more.”
Fitting for this recipe.
Once you taste test a little, you will agree.
It tastes like more.

Plain Jane Party Cheese Ball
Ingredients:
8 oz grated cheddar cheese
8 oz fat-reduced cream cheese
1/2 cup lower fat whipped salad dressing like Miracle Whip
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
Method:
Measure all ingredients into a mixing bowl.
Beat until smooth. A mixer makes this much faster.
Scoop half of the cheese mixture onto a square of plastic wrap. Wrap and shape into a ball. Repeat.
Chill until ready to use. This will last up to 2 weeks in the fridge assuming your ingredients are fresh.
Nutrition tip:
Lighter versions of the ingredients result in a cheese ball that is still rich in flavor but not so heavy.
Kitchen tip:
You can dress this up with chopped nuts or dried cranberries or more shredded cheese on the outside. Press toppings evenly over the ball, once it is placed in your serving dish. Use plastic wrap to reshape if you like.
